Ah, I can rest easy knowing you reacted as I'd hoped. You did not disappoint! I haven't actually read this yet, I am still on the one before it, Set in Darkness but the last two have had pedophiles and rapists (and Rebus!) so I expect same.

Yes, I almost went to the bookstore this year but restrained myself. I shall have no excuse preparing for next year. Especially when a new Pushkin Press cover is coming out in June. I don't know that I have many more books, certainly not 7, with interesting covers.

I haven't read this Rebus yet. It's the next one after Set in Darkness. I expect the usual grimness and Rebus climbing on the wagon or falling off it!
