Here's a fun question (since I'll never own a home).

questionoftheday asks: What are five things you want to have in your dream home? Be creative.

My answer:

1. French doors from bedroom that lead to terrace (not balcony!) and ocean view!
2. Library with ladders and rugs suitable for depositing dead bodies and moving bookshelf that leads to secret passage which leads to crypt where the ghost lives!
3. Kitchen with robot to prepare tea and meals and do the washing up.
4. Self-tending walled garden with Many, Many Secrets and lots of little Beatrix Potter animals coming and going.
5. Boathouse (for Shenanigans! Also, possibly murders if the library is otherwise occupied!)

The question of the day struck a nerve.

My answer:

I recognize that many, many people, people I consider friends and care about greatly, have strong interests in things and I respect their interests and can to varying degrees listen to and sympathise when they talk about them. I am in no way disparaging any of these things.

But.

The things I myself don't have any interest in are LEGION. They include: pets & animals; home decorating, repair, and buying/selling; restaurants; video games; most films; most television shows, including all of reality TV; cooking; fashion & clothes; sports; the outdoors; history; gardening; and most music.

I know, I know. :/
